Be your own makeover show
We all love a good makeover show, whether it’s an old classic like What Not To Wear, or something bang up to date like This Time Next Year, we can’t help but be fascinated by what losing a few pounds, getting clothes that actually suit you and having a new hairdo can do for a person. The idea of makeover shows is to inspire us to try a new look ourselves but it can be hard to do without a knowledgeable helper to hand.
Well the good news is that nothing makes you over better and more cost-effectively than having smile makeovers in Ormskirk with us at Parbold Dental. And the great thing about getting a smile makeover is that you have to have a knowledgeable helper, your cosmetic dentist.
How a smile makeover works
You bring us your tired old smile that’s been busy working for you day-in, day-out and we use our skills and knowledge of what makes a smile look good to put together a treatment plan to upgrade your teeth, gums, even your lips and face. After all, a smile doesn’t end at your teeth, it’s something that lights up your whole being when it’s on proper full power.
Putting together a treatment plan for a smile makeover means thinking about what treatments you need and in what order. For example, if you have twisted, protruding teeth, you may need to have cosmetic braces for a while. If your teeth are damaged by chips or cracks, or are worn at the edges, you may need to have a veneer or two (or maybe all round). If your teeth have become stained by tea, coffee, red wine, or natural ageing, you could do with teeth whitening too.
And there’s a particular order these treatments need to be carried out in. Veneers don’t respond to whitening gel, so you need to get them put on after whitening so they match your bright new shade of tooth enamel. Whitening is best after braces, which, depending on which ones you have, may leave a few marks when the brackets are removed.
