Facial aesthetic treatments are more popular now than ever before and more and more people are opting to have a little bit here and a little bit there. And why not? If it makes you feel good then we believe its something you should go for. We at Parbold Dental offer two main forms of facial aesthetics Ormskirk: botox and filler. But which is right for you?
What’s Your Goal?
Before you come and see us it’s good to start getting clear in your own mind exactly what it is you’re trying to achieve with the treatments. Are you wanting to rid your wrinkles or fill our fine lines? There is a difference and as such need different techniques and treatments. Of course you don’t need all the answers as we will happily assist and explain what we believe will be good for you, but it’s a good idea to start having a good think.
What Is Botox?
Botox is an injection that’s placed in areas where you’re wanting to remove the look of wrinkles. The substance itself works like a sting in that it gets under the skin and causes a reaction. The skin will relax in that area and take away any movement there. The result is smoother looking skin, which looks younger and smoother.
The injection itself is very quick and won’t need you to take time off for recovery. As long as you don’t touch the area post procedure and follow the aftercare plan, it’s all very quick and easy.
The result lasts between six to nine months, and this has numerous factors influencing it. The more frequently you have the botox the longer it will then tend to last.
What Is Dermal Filler?
Dermal filler is different from botox in that it adds volume to the skin, for this reason not only is it great at filling out those deep set lines around the eyes but also for giving more size and fullness to areas. It’s very common for people to have filler injected into their lips, cheeks and forehead to achieve the facial aesthetics Ormskirk goals of their dreams.
Like botox, the process for filler is similar in that it’s delivered through injection, you don’t need to worry about recovery as, again, it’s very simple and straightforward.
The filler will last anywhere between three to nine months all depending on how much you have and where you have it. It’s something that will be dependent on your skin type and physiology.
